Je m’appelle Marc-André Primeau et je suis photographe basé dans Lanaudière, disponible sur la Rive-Nord et ailleurs au Québec. Je photographie surtout l’action et l’événementiel : le sport, l’intensité, les moments clés et l’émotion qui vient avec. Je pratique aussi le judo, ce qui m’aide à lire l’action et capter le bon timing.
Au fil des années, j’ai couvert des événements sportifs et culturels, notamment le Championnat canadien de judo, le Championnat panaméricain à Montréal et les Jeux du Québec. Afin de continuer à me perfectionner, j’ai également suivi des formations en photographie au Collège Marsan.
Mon objectif est simple : livrer des photos fortes, propres et cohérentes, celles qu’on est fier de garder, de publier et de partager.
Avant la photo, j’ai servi au sein des Forces armées canadiennes pendant 12 ans et demi, d’abord comme fantassin, puis comme pompier militaire. Cette expérience a façonné ma manière de travailler : préparation, précision, respect du moment et fiabilité. Disons que j’ai troqué mon arme pour un appareil photo, avec la même rigueur et le même sens du timing, mais pour créer des images d’action et d’émotion.
J’ai aussi eu l’occasion de réaliser des photos pour la Société canadienne du cancer, un mandat qui m’a marqué et qui confirme l’importance d’une image bien faite : simple, digne et humaine.

My name is Marc-André Primeau, and I am a photographer based in Lanaudière, available across the North Shore and throughout Quebec. I primarily focus on action and event photography, capturing sports, intensity, key moments, and the emotion that comes with them. I also practice judo, which helps me read the action and capture the right moment at the right time.
Over the years, I have covered various sporting and cultural events, including the Canadian Judo Championships, the Pan American Championships in Montreal, and the Quebec Games. To further refine my skills, I have also completed photography training at Collège Marsan.
My goal is simple: to deliver strong, clean, and consistent images, the kind you are proud to keep, publish, and share.
Before photography, I served in the Canadian Armed Forces for twelve and a half years, first as an infantry soldier and later as a military firefighter. That experience shaped the way I work, emphasizing preparation, precision, respect for the moment, and reliability. I traded my rifle for a camera with the same discipline and sense of timing, now focused on creating images that capture action and emotion.
I have also had the opportunity to produce photographs for the Canadian Cancer Society, an assignment that left a lasting impression and reinforced the importance of a well-crafted image that is simple, dignified, and human.
